Lineage | The density of Macrocystis sp. was calculated across m2 based on (typically) 20 x 2 metre transects belts. CO2 and USD values were given per m2 based on calcuations described in the SAERI report 'Giant kelp ‘Blue carbon’ storage and sequestration value in the Falkland Islands.' (Bayley et al. 2017), and the excel spreadsheet 'Blue Carbon calculations and valuations.xlsx both provided with the dataset. An overall document which describes other aspect of the data is also made available and is entitled README_Kelp_Blue_Carbon_2017_Figures.doc |
