Areas of interest

The dataset is a polygon shape file which represents the area used for extracting the high resolution bathymetry model from echo sounder data (FK-UNITY-534). The shape of the sites was derived by creating a buffer of 400 metres from the echo sounder data retained at each site. In total there are 21 areas.

Lineage A “dissolved” buffer of 400 metres has been created all around the echo sounder data retained for each site of interest. The size of the buffer was based on the average distance of the echo sounder points between two parallel navigation lines followed by the boat.
