| Lineage | The collection of samples was carried out by SCUBA diving, through a 20 metres long transect in a shallow (5 - 10 m) and deep (10 - 15 m) sublittoral environment at various locations in West Falklands. Each time a new sample was identified, the location and scientific name were documented. The samples have been stored in ethanol for further laboratory analysis. The dataset provides the list of location and scientific species names. Data have also been added to Marine Recorder database managed by the South Atlantic Environmental Research Institute (SAERI) as the dives and sample collection occurred during the Golden Fleece survey led by the Marine Management Areas project (DPLUS071). |
