Distribution of the three primary classes of metal-rich deep-ocean mineral deposits

Dataset represents the subset of the global distribution of the three primary classes of metal-rich deep-ocean mineral deposits: seafloor massive sulfides (SMS); ferromanganese (Fe–Mn) nodules; and ferromanganese (Fe–Mn) crusts. The resource has been extracted from the map presented in Figure 2, Lusty, Paul A.J.; Murton, Bramley. 2018 Deep-ocean mineral deposits: metal resources and windows into earth processes.
