| Lineage | "Existing inland water data was taken from the Falkland Islands inland waters (ponds and lakes) data (available here: http://dataportal.saeri.org/dataset/falkland-islands-inland-waters-ponds-and-lakes) and merged with OSM inland water data (downloaded from QGIS QuickOSM Plugin). Sentinel-1 data for the Falkland Islands dated March 2021 was obtained and processed in ESA SNAP software following a Sentinel-1 GRD preprocessing workflow (described here: file:///P:/Projects/IMS_GIS_DATACENTRE/08_Current_projects/Wetlands/Sentinel-1%20Preprocessing%20Workflow.pdf). The sentinel-1 data was vectorised in QGIS and clipped from the original Falkland Island inland waters shapefile, to identify areas in which water was absent. " |
