Lineage Otoliths were taken from the large database at the Fisheries Department of the Falkland Islands Government. In order to prepare the slides and analyse the otoliths on the microscope, the otoliths were firstly blocked in resin. Subsequently, the blocks were sectioned. Finally, pictures were taken of the sections using an Olympus DP70 camera on an Olympus BX51 microscope.
