Seabed morphology for the Falklands region of the Patagonian Shelf (derived from GEBCO 2014 bathymetry)

The raster dataset comprises of morphological derived variables from global bathymetry dataset (GEBCO 2014). Slope, Bathymetric Position Index (BPI) at fine and broad moving windows, Terrain Ruggedness Index (TRI), Roughness, Aspect (Eastness and Northness), Curvature (General, Planar, Profile) are provided individually and at a resolution of 90 metres.

Lineage GEBCO bathymetry data were downloaded for the Patagonian Shelf and seabed morphology data were derived and mapped using R and QGIS tools. The morphological derived variables are: Slope, Bathymetric Position Index (BPI) at fine and broad moving windows, Terrain Ruggedness Index (TRI), Roughness, Aspect (Eastness and Northness), Curvature (General, Planar, Profile). Each variable is available as raster file with a resolution of 90 metres.
