Official Elqui Wreck Site Survey
A multibeam sonar (MBES) survey has been carried out in the vicinity of the MV Elqui wreck location, close to Shag Rock in the Falkland Islands. It is aproposed area for the scuttling of the FIPASS pontoon barges. Multibeam survey operations were carried out on board MV John Davis. Craft underwent equipment calibration, verification and acceptance trials prior to acquisition of the bathymetric data.
